Chasis rail fix - tow hook

Image
When  towing  the  car  on  the  trailer  a  while  ago  i  tightened  the  straps  down  to  much  and  at  to  large  a  lateral  angle  that  i  pulled  the  box  section  apart.  You  can  see  in  these  photos  where  it  has  been  now  welded  up  and  just  needs  some  paint.

Andrew  is  making  up  a  switch  to  run  the  standard  Thermo  fan  that  will  allow  the  fan  to  run   at  a  reduced  temp  and  also  turn  them  off  at  high  speed  when  it  is  not  needed. - Photos Below

Chassis wing mount kit cut in two...

Image
We were not happy with how the kit went through the guards and needed some flexibility with ability to remove the wing for the street so the decision was made to cut the chassis mounts in two. You are looking at $300 that probably could have gone elsewhere.

New grille installed

Put  the  new  grille  on  tonight  and  i  am  really  happy  with  how  it  looks  and  think  it  is  a  lot  better  then  before.

New front grille for s14a

Image
The  front  grille  fo r   the  car  went  missing  a  little  while  ago  when  it  was  in  for  some  work  and  i  have  been  looking  for  a  second  hand  one  but  found  that  a  brand  new  one  from  the  states  was  only  a  little  more.  It  is  a  different  style  that  i  like  the  look  of  a  lot  more.

carbon dash panel

Image
I played around today with a small carbon fibre off cut that i have from something else and copied the panel i have that is made from aluminum in the dash. The aluminum panel hasn't looked the best with a few scratches on it so hopefully this will look the goods. Simply masked up the carbon panel and then cut around the edges, it is quiet hard to cut carbon fiber and i blunted a few blades doing it but eventually i cut through.
