So starting from scratch again almost i preped the surface and ended up glassing the mould with a layer of glass to strengthen it as it was moving slightly and developed cracks. The reason was if i wanted to make another one i could.
I bascially sanded everything right back down and applied a coat of gel coat
Now this is after sanding and preping and sealer then a coat of putty over the top to fill then sealer/high fill
Then three top coats and waited 5 days to fully cure
Finished mold ready to actually make something from. This all took me about 5 weeks with all the stuffing around and doing some nights after work, was a massive job and because it was the first time i wanted to learn how to do it and made a fair few mistakes along the way. I think i spent about $500 or so on materials, fiberglass,
I was trying to get it done for SAU Nationals but simply ran out of time
