Nismo Fuel Pump Install
On A Nissan 200sx S14a

What you will need

Pliers
10mm Socket
Philps Head Screw Driver
Small Flat Head Screw Driver
Fuel Pump
Fuel Pump Spaner Tool or Small Hammer And Small Chisel

Step 1
Releaseing The Fuel Pressure
Remove the fuse for the fuel pump, and start engine. Wait for it to stall then crank over a couple of times

Step 2
Disconect Battery

Step 3
Removing Fuel Pump
Pull off all the carpet from the fuel pump area and located the top of the pump.

Remove the four screws that hold the top plate in place and then grab your flat head screwdriver and lift the lugs up from the wires that go into the pump.

Next disconect the plugs the conect into the top of the pump.

Then Disconect the fuel lines to the top of the pump. Best to mark which line goes in where with a bit of tape or marker so as you know which one conects back up to where when you put it back in.

Next remove the large plastic locking nut that holds the pump in place. I had some trouble removing this and ended up using a small hammer and small cold chisel. If you do us this then be careful not to damage the plastic locking nut as you don't want to have to buy a new one.

Then remove the plugs that conect to the fuel level meter and the pump.

Remove the whole fuel pump assembley being carful not to drip fuel all over the place. It is best to have a cloth around so u can catch any drips etc.

Step 4
Hooking up new pump

Pull the hose off the pump and just leave the top (white plastic thing). Connect the new nismo pump straight up to this using the new clamps on either end of the hose.

Also put the new large rubber o-ring on as well so as to make sure you have a good seal on the tank

Place the pump back into the tank and then hook up the wire from the pump and the level meter.

I When you place the pump into the tank it goes on a couple of lugs inside the tank. Make sure you have it on these and this is where it is better if you have less fuel in the tank so you can stick you head around and check out where it is ment to go. Once you have place it in the tank properlly you can then screw on the plastic locking nut and then reconnect the hoses.

Once you have done this check to see if everthing is ok then re-conect the battery and turn the engine to ON. Go and check for any leaks then if everthing is ok crank the engine over and check again. Once you have done this put back all the carpet and away you go.
