We ended up getting the rear windscreen out thanks to a friend across the road and stripped the interior completely of all wiring and panels. We also got the heater box and Air Conditioning removed as well as sanding down the interior.

Picked up some 3M masking tape from the local hardware store - it is not cheap but is the best stuff for the job and worth it when the time comes to take it back off.
